.:. CHANNELING START

If you chose channeler during character creation, your character has
the channeler talent. Having the ability to channel is not the same
as knowing every weave or meeting its requirements.

Find a willing player teacher through roleplay. Suitable skills and
weaves can be taught with lesson; your teacher starts the lesson.
Guild and learning restrictions still apply. See 'help learn' for
lessons and 'help spells' for weave-learning guidance. Approved
roleplay training can also be set by the appropriate immortals, as
described in 'help grasp'.

You may also discover an unfamiliar weave by observing another
channeler of the same sex weaving in your room, if you can see all
its flows and meet its prerequisites. This is not guaranteed, and
channeling mastery cannot be learned this way. You do not need to
enter a watch command for this observation.

Getting started
Use grasp to take hold of the Source, weave to shape a weave you know,
and release to let the Source go. Type grasp in full; gr and gra mean
grab, the equipment command. Taking hold of the Source can fail.

Spells lists the weaves you know. Inform describes a named weave's
flows, prerequisites and learning restrictions. Check those before
trying to weave; choosing a higher weave level does not bypass them.
Use 'help weave' for casting syntax and 'help combat channeling' for
weaving during a fight. Read 'help overchanneling' before drawing
beyond your Endurance: exhaustion, burnout or death are possible.

Syntax:
> grasp
> spells
> inform '<weave name>'
> release

Example:
> grasp
> spells
> inform 'fireball'
> release
Inform can help you investigate fireball; this example does not give
you the weave or permission to learn it.
