.:. MESSAGE

The MUD gives you many ways to reach other people, and players
often ask which one fits. In short: tells for a private word
anywhere, speech and emotes for the room you are in, channels for
a group, mail and boards for messages that wait, and rpseek to
signal that you want roleplay.

Syntax:
> tell <name> <message>
A private out of character message;
reply answers the last one.

> say <words>
Speech in character, heard in your room.
whisper directs it at
one person there, and
emote describes your actions instead.

> ooc <message>
Out of character talk with everyone who has the channel on;
newbie is the channel for newcomers. Guild channels work the
same way for your guild.

> mail <name>
The game prompts you for a subject and the message itself. Mudmail
waits in their inbox until they read it. Boards such as
glboards
hold longer shared posts, with access depending on the board.

Example:
> tell Loth Two minutes, then I am with you.
> reply On my way.
> say The road is watched, my friends.
> ooc Back in a bit, everyone.

Tells, channels and speech all need the other person online. Mail
and boards do not. If they are idle, a tell may be saved for them
to read later with
playback. To find people who want to
roleplay right now, use
rpseek. For email to your real inbox,

help email.
