There are men and women who have the ability to channel but will never do so until they are taught by another, active channeler. These men and women are called latent channelers. Active female channelers are able to feel it when they meet another woman who is able to channel. Gradually they are able to identify the sense of kinship felt as an indicator of having met another with the ability.
